How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in the Marine Science Magnet High School!

     
MSMHS accepts student applications for the 2023-2024 school year from October 1, 2022 until January 13, 2023.

You will receive an email confirmation from Power School Enrollment when you successfully submit your application.

We encourage interested families to attend one of our Open Houses for more information and a tour of the school:

                                              Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
                                             Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.


We are also hosting a Drop-In Information session on:
                                               Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

There are no prerequisites for applying to MSMHS: students who are residents of Connecticut and are currently enrolled in the 8th grade are eligible to submit an application for the MSMHS freshman class.

A small number of sophomore seats for the 2023-2024 school year may also be available. Applications must be submitted for this as well.

Applicants are selected through a random electronic lottery process. Families will be notified via email by the end of January/beginning of February 2023.

Southeastern Connecticut Magnet Schools are committed to serving military families and their children.  If slots are available, Marine Science Magnet High School may assist highly mobile families who transfer to the region following the regular application period.
